Purple Hydrangeas In Bucket

Where did summer go?

That’s the question everyone is asking. It hasn’t been much of a summer anywhere, but as it is now officially autumn we are finally seeing some lovely hot days and beautiful evenings. And with the change in seasons comes a slow down in some of our crops, like the garden style flowers that have been so popular this season.

But its not all doom and gloom.

Today we received our first shipment of freesias! And already the chiller smells amazing. And the hydrangeas are coming through now with all the wonderful antique colours. Why not try drying some, they look amazing, just make sure that you use mature heads and don’t hang them. Leave them in the vase with a small amount of water. Approx. 2 weeks later they will have started to dry, right there in the vase, easy!
